Apple

Mac Daddy

So, they’ve finally gone and done it – Apple have got Windows XP running on their new Intel Macs. Interesting that this software was only released AFTER a member of the public actually managed to crack their system first… Surely they knew how to do it, but maybe they needed someone else to ‘discover’ the breakthrough so that Mr Gates does not accuse Apple of breaking a copyright. Who knows…

Apple’s ‘Boot Camp’ is a dual-boot solution, but also available today, Parallel’s product, in their words… “empowers users the ability to use Windows, Linux and any other operating system at the same time as Mac OS X, enabling users to enjoy the comfort of their Mac OS X desktop while still being able to use critical applications from other OSes”

Great news for us Mac-o-philes, still having to make sure our websites work in IE6 on a PC!!!

Italy, Rome

Bikram goes Roman

Bikram Yoga has arrived, at last, in Rome! Via Aurelia 190!

Update: We’ve taken our first class! It’s bilingual, the owners are an Italian/American couple, and very friendly and laid-back.

The price of this friendliness and laid-backness however is that the place itself is not exactly designer chic. We can live with that. The studio is kind of small, but providing classes stay small, that’s just fine too; more personal attention.

Our criticism, and we could be getting Bikram Yoga Roma into trouble here with Mr Choudhoury himself, is that the temperature is not really 40 degrees Celsius. More like 35.

Hotter please.

blogosphere

With customary aplomb, William Safire performs a round-up of the blogging lexicon. “This brief survey—a labor of link love—was conducted by means of blogging. Thanks to the blogerati who shot my query around the Web asking for jargon, a solicitation that N’Gai Croal, technology editor at Newsweek, calls blegging.”
